New Pastures...

For quite some time now, I’ve been quietly wrestling with the reality that Blogger, a platform that has been a generous and dependable home for Hypnotic Crescendos, is beginning to feel, well… a little antiquated. As much as I’ve loved building this space and sharing my writing here, the site increasingly makes it difficult to present my work in the way I want to. The limitations are starting to outweigh the comfort of familiarity, and if Hypnotic Crescendos is going to continue growing, it needs room to evolve.

So, with equal parts nostalgia and excitement, I’m moving to a new home: hypnoticcrescendos.com.

The new site is currently under construction. Like most passion projects, it’s a labour of love, and a labour that comes with some rather unavoidable hosting costs. I’m gradually saving up to support and maintain the new platform, so if anyone feels inclined to donate towards keeping the site alive and flourishing, it would be hugely appreciated. Either way, new work will be appearing sooner rather than later.

I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who has followed, read, commented, shared, or simply stumbled across my writing here on Blogger over the years. This space allowed Hypnotic Crescendos to exist in the first place, and I’ll always be grateful for that foundation. But the new website already feels like a more readable, more user-friendly, and frankly more enjoyable way to present both information and my own thoughts. It’s a little more sophisticated, but still unmistakably me, just the next evolution of the Hypnotic Crescendos identity. And, if I’m being honest, it’s about bloody time.

The new platform will continue to feature the deep-dive articles you’re used to, alongside updates and news about the projects I’m working on behind the scenes. I’m also excited to introduce shorter-form posts: smaller, immediate pieces capturing fleeting fascinations, cinematic curiosities, visual look books, and musings on things that spark my interest in film culture and beyond.

Thank you again for being part of this journey so far. I hope you’ll join me as Hypnotic Crescendos moves into its next chapter.
